Emma Chelsey (a graduate of WAAPA’S three year acting program) has been invited to renowned US acting teacher Howard Fine’s professional masterclass. She will shortly be returning to the US to work closely with Howard Fine – “Last year I graduated from Howard’s Foundation class and was selected to join his Monday night Masterclass, for actors he feels are working at a professional level.”

Howard Fine has been the go-to coach for Jared Leto, Brad Pitt, Will Smith to name a few. Known for his detailed approach to helping craft some of the best actors of recent times, Emma hopes that working further with Howard will help her to transition her career from Australia to the US. “It’s always been my dream to work in film and television in the US”, she said.

A child actor from a young age, Emma appeared on ‘Home & Away’ and ‘Comedy Inc’ and was selected to tour with AIPA to the US to study acting before graduating from the acting course at the acclaimed Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) – the training ground for a young Hugh Jackman.

Emma has since starred in award winning films ‘The Heart Thief’ ‘In Transit’ and ‘Mercy’, and has an upcoming role in the feature ‘Zelos’. Emma is in constant demand for theatre work in Australia – She has performed in sold out tours of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo And Juliet and The Crucible with Sydney’s Sport For Jove and Pornography for Melbourne’s Malthouse Theatre. Emma is also currently pitching her six part mockumentary comedy series ‘Belle Vue’ and is the director of ‘The Actors Resource’ -an online community for actors providing informative resources, advice from professionals in the entertainment industry and interviews with emerging artists.

With representatives in Los Angeles already keenly watching her career develop, it’s only a matter of time before Emma Chelsey will join the successful band of Australian actors dominating Hollywood.
