In exchange for your contribution, you will enjoy exposure to the thousands of daily readers who visit this site, an opportunity to promote your own website, blog, twitter, facebook and email newsletter opt-in. In some situations you may also be remunerated with payment when your efforts directly impact the financial success of this site.

Your primary motivation for writing to Ozemag should be to contribute back to the community and help your fellow aspiring actors. If that resonates with you and you’re prepared to put the work in without asking for anything in return beyond kudos from the community, please apply.

What Is Required Of You?

• You can write one article per week for a maximum of one year OR alternatively you can submit only one article as a one off
• If you choose to submit one article per week and can demonstrate this commitment over a trial month, you may qualify for columnist status, which includes a dedicated profile for your work on this site, opportunities to promote your own websites, projects and services, and possibly financial remuneration
• Your articles must be a minimum of 1,000 words for standard articles
• Video and audio contributions will be considered if your work is of a high standard
• All content published on Ozemag is unique and created by you, and only made available on this site, you cannot republish it online elsewhere

Criteria

• You have a successful career in the entertainment industry with professional imbd.com credits
• Your experience is relevant to actors

These two criteria in addition to writing skills, experience and commitment are important as these will give you the ability to share, connect, teach and grow on a weekly basis with the Ozemag online community.

Writing Positions Available

At the moment I’m looking for people to fill two different writing positions -

Columnist – You Are A Story Teller

Ozemag is about explaining your creative journey from the ground up. It’s about how you got your big break and what steps you took to get there. Who influenced you and your career? How can you help other aspiring actors by sharing your amazing creative journey? In general, helping transform our acting community to a more professional standard.

If you’re currently on a journey and are willing to share the details on a regular basis, you are a solid writer, or you’re good with video or podcasting, the columnist position may just be for you.

I’m looking for people who are serious about spreading the dream and contributing to the ideals of Ozemag, not just looking for self-promotion to push your agenda.

Reviewer – You Live And Breathe Film, Television and Theatre – NO VACANCIES AT PRESENT

New movies and shows are released every week and I’d love to review them all so we can help you decide on what is worth seeing. But I can’t do it alone!

I need your help to review them by attending the show or movie and then writing a solid review of it and being completely honest with your opinion and recommendation.

I have a formula for writing good reviews, which you will have access to if you qualify for this position. You will also receive free copies of the products and of course, if you make any money testing the product it’s all yours to keep. If you prove a good and consistent review writer you will be paid either a per review fee, or a split of any affiliate commissions earned from sales made as a result of your reviews.

Please only apply for this position if you absolutely LOVE films, television and theatre as you will have to be very active with your eyes glued to the screen or stage. You should also have a good general knowledge of the entertainment industry in Australia and the U.S. including who’s who. I.e. actors, writers and directors that directly make up and affect the acting community so you can cross compare people and previous projects and write with confidence that you know what you are talking about.

Reviews should be concise and to the point – a maximum of 500 words, preferably with pictures.

What I want to see is samples of your writing or videos or podcasts. I’m after people who match the Ozemag style – down to earth, good story tellers, practical teachers and a from-the-heart authenticity that comes through your writing.

Send me links to your previous work, I’ll take a look and then let you know if I think you would be a good fit. If so, you begin a trial period by submitting some original work over a period of a month, at least one article per week to demonstrate your consistent high quality output.
